Elms College located in Chicopee, MA is seeking a Head Men’s Volleyball Coach. Under the general supervision of the Athletic Director. The Head Men’s Volleyball Coach is responsible for the coaching, daily administrative, and recruiting for the volleyball program. This positon implements a wide variety of day-to-day responsibilities and secondary duties will be assigned from the following areas: strength and conditioning, sports information. This positon requires excellent role modeling, leadership and interpersonal skills.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES ?Organization, development, and administration of the men’s program. ?Establishes overall goals for the volleyball program. ?Supervises assistant coaches and student labor. ?Organizes practice and is responsible for game management. ?Recruits academically qualified players utilizing current methods. ?Attends and participates in admissions recruiting events. ?Serves as a role model to student athletes. ?Ensures compliance on campus, department, NCAA, and conference rules and regulations. ?Manages program budget. ?Other duties may be assigned, including but not limited to: strength and conditioning duties and sports information duties.
QUALIFICATIONS ?Bachelor's degree in an appropriate field required. Master's degree preferred. ?Coaching, strength and conditioning, sports information, and athletics administration at the collegiate level preferred. ?Proven ability to relate to student athletes, academic community, student body, off-campus constituents, professional colleagues and the general public. ?Proven administrative, organizational and recruiting skills. ?Ability to use computer software and standard office equipment. ?Valid driver’s license and good driving record required. ?CPR, first aid, and AED certification required.
