The Development Assistant will assist with many donor efforts within the Tennessee Fund office. This person will be charged with helping to cultivate, steward and solicit donors for gifts to the athletics department. A successful candidate will:
Assist with incoming and outgoing phone calls, develop and maintain donor relationships, maintain correspondence for The Tennessee Fund general accounts and respond to inquiries, assist with the management of 12-15 student workers, assist with gift solicitation, assist with various special events hosted by the athletics department and on game days, assist with capital and endowment project document updates, plan, manage, and oversee Tennessee Fund Donor Appreciation Day, sell Football and Men's/Women's Basketball tickets, and will have additional duties as assigned.
This position is a 40 hours a week, one year appointment to be paid hourly with no benefits. Nights and weekends are also required. This assistantship is designed to prepare individuals to accept a full-time position in an athletics development office following a full-term. Bachelor's degree and at least one year of experience in intercollegiate athletics development, marketing, or sales. Master's degree preferred.
