The Assistant Coach, Track & Field will assist the head coach with the organization, development, and implementation of a competitive NCAA Division I Track & Field program that competes at the highest level. This position will have primary coaching responsibilities in the jumping events. Applicants must have NCAA Division I coaching experience in this event group. Additional responsibilities include daily operations, recruiting, fundraising, community service, alumni outreach, and additional tasks as assigned by the head coach. The Assistant Coach, Track & Field is expected to develop and maintain effective interaction with students, colleagues, university staff, alumni, and the general public and to perform other duties as assigned. The Assistant Coach, Track & Field will possess a strong knowledge of and commitment to compliance with all NCAA, Big Ten Conference, and University rules and regulations as well as dedication to the full academic development of student-athletes.

A Bachelor’s degree along with Level I Track & Field certification is required. Direct coaching experience in the jumping events working within a collegiate program is required. Individuals must have strong communication skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Candidates must demonstrate knowledge of and adherence to NCAA and Big Ten Conference rules as well as University policies.
Demonstrated success working with a NCAA Division I collegiate program in the jumping events preferred.
