Under the general supervision of the Assistant Athletic Director for Ticket Operations/Sales and Customer Services, this position is responsible for developing strategies to maximize revenue through season tickets, group outings, and promotional nights. The incumbent calls potential customers for season and group ticket sales for Long Beach State Athletics sports events in order to meet individual and department-wide ticket and revenue goals.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Thorough knowledge of sports ticketing industry and best practices. Ability to collaborate positively to effectively drive toward organizational goals. Ability to develop ongoing relationships with season ticket holders, local community, and donors. Ability to guide others in policy and procedures in support of the athletics department and the university. Strong customer service skills over the telephone, in person, and through written communication. Must be proficient in the use of basic computer applications. Substantial knowledge of Paciolan Ticketing System and other ticketing systems. Working knowledge of the University's and Department's cash handling policies.
Ability to communicate with an ethnically and culturally diverse campus community. Ability to follow all university policies, procedures, and guidelines including but not limited to safety, civility, information security, and non-discrimination policies and procedures. Ability to contribute to a positive university experience for each and every student, and assist in achieving the university's commitment to a "vision of excellence."
Education and Experience
Equivalent to five years of administrative support experience.
Valid California driver's license.
Previous experience working in a Division I environment.
Experience using Paciolan.
The salary range for this classification is $3,352 to $5,639 per month.

Full-time temporary position for one year with no permanent status granted. Temporary assignments may expire prior to the ending date.
