Wagner College, a NCAA Division I member of the Northeast Conference, is searching for a qualified candidate for an Assistant Triathlon Coach (Graduate Assistant) position. This position will carry responsibilities with regard to team training, recruiting and administrative functions. Use this opportunity to earn a graduate degree while working with a team of elite athletes on a national stage.
Responsibilities for the position include but are not limited to: Schedule and conduct regular practice sessions; motivate student-athletes to train and race at a high level; assist in the recruitment and selection of qualified student-athletes; support the academic progress of student-athletes. Above all, the successful candidate should be able to actively engage with and provide feedback to athletes and coaches at any time. This is your opportunity to lead and be led at a high level.
Assistant Triathlon Coach (Graduate Assistant) Qualifications include a working knowledge of the sport of triathlon. Competitive experience should include one or more of the following: triathlon, swimming, cycling, or running. Coaching or teaching experience is preferred, and a history of collegiate level work is ideal but not required. This position will require some administrative duties so the candidate must possess organizational skills as well as basic computer proficiency. Bachelor’s degree required.
