Abilene Christian University, a NCAA Division I-FCS institution and member of the Western Athletic Conference, is seeking qualified applicants for a 10-month External Operations Assistant to work in the areas of marketing, fan engagement, development and ticket operations.
The External Operations Assistant will report to the Deputy AD for External Operations and the Director of Marketing, with the goals of creating a high energy, fan-friendly game environment and increasing student attendance and engagement. External Operations also manages the day to day and game day ticket office responsibilities. Duties and responsibilities include assisting with day-to-day activities of the external operations department, working with coaches and staff, writing and executing marketing plans and individual game scripts, creating strategies for fan engagement and attendance, coordinating with ticket operations, assisting with special events and developing stewardship opportunities. Office hours and event coverage are required. Working nights, weekends and holidays is an essential function of this position.
Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree with preference for prior experience working in athletics marketing, ticketing, development or event management. Experience with Adobe Creative cloud, specifically photoshop & InDesign and ticket software is also highly preferred. Compensation is $1,000 per month for 10 months, and a rent free, furnished apartment may be available.
