The Director of New Media will be responsible for all aspects associated with live broadcasts on the Bryant Sports Network and all video services for Bryant University Athletics including, but not limited to special events such as awards banquets, ticket campaigns, and season previews and assist University with providing video content upon request.
The person appointed to this position will, in conjunction with the Associate Athletics Director for External Relations, be responsible for all video content, both live event broadcasts and, but not limited to, promotional video, highlights, and department promotions. The Director of New Media will be responsible for overseeing video content and creation for display on Daktronics video scoreboards using show control platform. The Director of New Media will be responsible for hiring student staff to assist with all video content, including broadcasts and other video content including working with marketing, sponsors, and ticket department. The Director will develop archiving system of broadcasts and video content for future accessibility.
Bachelor’s degree required, master’s degree preferred. Experience in video editing using Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop and After Effects software, and video/broadcast production using Tricaster equipment required. Experience in sports marketing and promotion preferred. Understanding of NCAA rules in areas of student-athlete promotion, as well as excellent communication and organizational skills required. Must be familiar with and abide by all copyright laws for producing video content.
