The Business Intelligence and Analytics Coordinator will serve as the main point of prospecting and analyzing data for the Georgia Southern Athletic Foundation. Directly reporting to, and working closely with, the Senior Associate Athletic Director of Development, this position is a newly created one which will be crucial to the continued success and growth of the Athletic Foundation.
Duties/Responsibilities: • Analyze donor and alumni demographics using current department databases • Create new systems and/or methods to prospect current database • Work with the Senior Associate Athletic Director of Development to create a ranking system for prospects, identify hot spots and produce prospect reports • Ideate and implement programs to maximize data collection and donor acquisition • Assist the Associate Director of Development in creating forms and organizing referrals • Assist the Donor Records Coordinator occasionally in processing gifts and/or running reports • Cleanse and organize large data sets and summarize info in structured reports
Desired Skills/Traits: • Computer Skills – strong knowledge of Microsoft Office preferred, especially Microsoft Excel • Willingness to Learn and Grow – there is strong potential for the Athletic Foundation to grow substantially within the next couple of years and with that will come learning and growth opportunities for the person in this position • Innovation – this position will be given freedom to create completely new ways of prospecting and/or analyzing data, doing things completely different than others is encouraged • Organizational Skills – this position will deal with a lot of data and handle to handle a lot of records within multiple programs and databases • Ability to Adapt – with innovation comes a lot of change and the person in this position will need to embrace change and new ideas as well as being able to adapt when situations can change very quickly • Not Required – Coding – basic knowledge of Python or other programming languages would be an asset in this position but is not required
