The University of Pikeville is currently seeking a Head Baseball Coach for its Athletic Department. The Head Baseball Coach will manage and oversee the baseball team of the University of Pikeville by performing the following responsibilities:
Schedule and conduct all practices and games.
Manage the baseball team, facilities, and all other needs prior to team practices and games, both home and away.
Recruit student athletes for the baseball team through on-campus and off-campus visits.
Oversee the preparation and maintenance of the baseball field.
Supervise academic process of all team members.
Complete and maintain all necessary office work.
Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s Degree required.
At least 3-5 years experience with baseball and coaching.
Must be familiar with Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
Must have experience working with office equipment, e.g. computer, fax machine, copier, and telephone.
Must be able to perform simple calculations.
Must be familiar with conducting research on the Web, as well as creating online travel arrangements.
Must have excellent communication skills.
Must be able to travel.
Position requires daily contact with co-workers, supervisor, student athletes, parents, trainers, various campus offices, and instructors in order to share information about the baseball program at the University of Pikeville. These relationships are maintained through e-mail, telephone, text messaging, and person-to-person contact.
