The Women's Lacrosse Coach is responsible for the overall coaching, planning and direction of Drexel's Division I Women's Lacrosse Program.
Responsible for the overall planning and direction of the Women's Lacrosse Program.
Teach, coach, train, mentor and motivate student-athletes to perform at the highest level through organized team and individual sessions.
Foster an environment within the Women's Lacrosse program that supports the department mission of personal growth and integrity, diversity, leadership, sportsmanship and a commitment to athletic and academic excellence.
Work effectively with administrators, staff and coaches within the department of athletics to best operate effectively within the structure of the organization.
Create a strategic and competitive playing schedule.
Select and successfully recruit student-athletes which meet the needs and growth of the program, department and institution.
Communicate with all constituents of the program including staff, faculty, students, parents, alumni and friends.
Ensure that the program complies with all institution, CAA and NCAA rules and regulations.
Represent the university at functions related to public relations, donor development, and other events as needed by the Director of Athletics.
Supervise and direct assistant coaches to support the direction of the program.
1. Bachelor's degree required. 2. Intercollegiate playing experience and coaching or equivalent experience required. 3. Experience playing lacrosse at the collegiate level. 4. Demonstrated ability to teach and instruct the skills and strategies of Women's Lacrosse. 5. An understanding of the role of intercollegiate sports in a dynamic university setting. 6. Strong written, organization and communication skills. 7. Proven ability to provide strong leadership in managing the complexities of a team. 8. Successful background coaching lacrosse, preferably at the collegiate level.
