Under the general supervision of the Athletic Director, this full-time position with benefits will assist with institutional control of the compliance system for the LSSU intercollegiate athletic program in alignment with all NCAA and conference rules and regulations. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES •Responsible for verifying student-athlete eligibility to participate in NCAA athletics •Responsible for tracking student-athlete academic performance •The position will coordinate information sharing between Admissions, Housing, Financial Aid, Registrar, coaches, et al. •Issue Interpretations on NCAA rules for LSSU Community •Responsible for working to resolve compliance problems while maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive information provided by student-athletes. •Coordinate all facets of the National Letter of Intent program and athletics grant offers including athletic renewals. •Process hardship and academic waivers for the submission to the conference (CCHA and GLIAC) and the NCAA (Division I and II). •Oversee approval process for athletic camps (Verify NCAA and institutional compliance requirements for camps) •Monitor recruiting activities (Verify NCAA, Conference and institutional rules are followed.) •Responsible for rule education for athletic department including coaches, student athletes, and boosters. •Complete NCAA and conference required reports •Monitor athletically related activities (CARA VARA and RARA.) •Respond to and send out transfer tracer requests from other institutions. •NCAA App Administrator •Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Extensive knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations Bachelor Degree in Administration, Sport Management, or a related field. 2 years of related experience to NCAA compliance and master degree preferred.
