BASIC PURPOSE: This position is responsible for all aspects of instruction along with the development and management of a comprehensive Blue & White Club Sports program as a component of the University experience which enhances and supports the student’s liberal arts education.
1.Organizes, directs, and implements all phases of a highly competitive program including practice sessions, recruitment, counseling, training and conditioning. 2.Supervises assistant coach(s). 3.Monitors the academic performance of the student athletes in the program. 4.Directs and coaches the team according League and Assumption University standards, rules and regulations. 5.Awareness, commitment and adherence to League & Assumption University rules. 6.Supervise and train interns and work study students 7.Shall maintain current certification in first aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and automatic external defibrillator (AED) use. 8.Actively participates in department fundraising and public relations events. 9.Represents the University in media interviews, speaking engagements, and community service projects. 10.Regularly attends selective special University events such as: Student/Athlete Candlelight Service, Hall of Fame Dinner, First-Year Orientation, Student/Athlete Awards Ceremony, University Admissions activities, etc. 11.Develops alumni relations for the promotion of the program. 12.Directs a summer camp if applicable. 13.Performs other duties assigned. 14.Serves as a Campus Security Authority for Clery reporting purposes and a Responsible Employee for Title IX reporting purposes.

Bachelor’s Degree/Master’s preferred.
University coaching experience preferred

Valid driver’s license.

Communicates regularly with athletics administration, students, parents, faculty, high school coaches, N.C.A.A. and Conference officials
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT
Work involves moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, and/or loud noises.
Moderate physical activity. Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 25 pounds or standing and/or walking for more than four (4) hours per day.
Work environment involves minimal exposure to physical risks.
