The Director of Basketball Operations assists with the organization and supervision of all logistical aspects of the Men’s Basketball Team within the parameters designated by the university, the America East Conference and the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA).
Essential Job Duties:
1. Analyze and manage men’s basketball video and game film
Uploading game film to Synergy as well as download/convert games of opponents
Assist assistant coaches with scouting breakdowns and discuss defensive strategies
Responsible for post-game and post-practice video breakdown for using Sportscode
Oversee breakdown and restructure of video equipment for games
Analyze the current style of play trends within Division 1
Assist with any other video projects assigned by the head coach which could include research, player tendencies, and special situations
2. Oversee Scheduling for the Facility and Game Scheduling
Staff Liaison for facility scheduling with the UML Facility department as well as both women’s basketball and volleyball
Scheduling shoot around times for UML as well as opponents
Researching scheduling trends in Division 1 Basketball as well as Exempt Events
Responsible for managing game contracts
Communicating with assistant coaches to plan ahead for future guarantee game fiscal needs
3. Manage On-Campus Recruiting
Organizing and scheduling on campus unofficial / official visits
Evaluating game film of current UML recruits and inquiries for assistant coaches
4. Assisting with the monitoring of academic progress of the student-athletes
5. Assist with logistical aspects within the men’s basketball program
Responsible for management of ticket allotments to home and away games
Point of Contact for visiting teams
Provide assistance with team events and functions as well summer camps
Responsible for management and coordination of Team Foreign Tours & summer team building activities.

Minimum Qualifications (Required):
1-3 Years experience in basketball operations at the collegiate level
Proven ability to provide mentoring and leadership to student-athletes and a commitment to student-athlete welfare
Commitment to ensure compliance with all NCAA and University rules and regulations
Effective communication, interpersonal and public relations skills
