The Director of Goalkeeping is responsible for all aspects of goalkeeper development for boys and girls, recreational and competitive, including but not limited to:
Develop club philosophy and curriculum of GK Program
Establish and execute a year-round GK training calendar that includes preseason training camps, tournaments, U9-18 tryouts, and other events
Provide winter & summer training programming
Assist with DOC's in GK & player movement and team formation process
Identify and evaluate GKs for placement from within the club
Lead GK-Coach Education
Hire, train, and evaluate GK staff trainers
Travel to multi-team tournament events
Coordinate all above efforts with other DOC staff
Competitive Team Coaching
Coach teams as assigned
Run staff sessions (team training) as assigned
Coordinate efforts with age-group DOC's
Administrative Duties as assigned (including, but not limited to the examples below):
Assist in Managing Got Sport Player Registration Platform
Develop regional and national partnerships with summer GK camps
Support college placement of all players – meet with players/families about appropriate college soccer choices
Other Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Communication--communicate club philosophy and mission statement. Establish and maintain positive relationships with club membership in the greater soccer community by effectively communicating in an honest, trustworthy, timely manner. Effectively communicate with the competitive coaching staff, Club DOC Team, General Manager, Executive Director, and most importantly parents and players.
Hiring--interview all coaches candidates using the Club Selection Criteria. Recommendations for all new hires discussed with the General Manager or Executive Director for approval for all competitive team coaches assigned to the appropriate age-level of training for both recreational and competitive programs.
Create, develop, and provide quality coach education opportunities for paid coaches (Competitive Coaches) throughout the calendar year.
Organize, assist and participate in team formations, player placement & movement.
Work collaboratively with Technical Director and Club DOC’s to improve team player and coach development.
Oversee competitive coach's annual individual team plans and semi-annual team reviews.
Report to the General Manager & Executive Director and provide written reports as requested.
Provide a safe and healthy work climate for staff, players, parents, and community members.
Be a resourceful and helpful team player.

About Colorado United/Littleton Soccer Club
Colorado United/Littleton Soccer Club is a private 501(c)(3) non-profit youth sports club that serves the south metro Denver area youth soccer community. Littleton Soccer Club, founded in 1960. In 2005 Colorado United became the official name of the competitive arm of LSC. Colorado United/Littleton Soccer Club programming currently serves approximately 4000 players (3000 recreational & 1000 competitive). As a community-based youth soccer club, we seek to develop players for life. Relationships within the community including our public school system and parks and recreation district are extremely important to our organization. Our club philosophy is based on a desire to create complete players.
