The head softball coach at Fort Lewis College, a NCAA Division II institution in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, is responsible for leading all aspects of an athletically competitive women's softball program, including, but not limited to: •organizing and conducting all skill instruction, practice, scheduling of games, competition and training schedules •effectively manage relationships with student-athletes, coaches and the broader campus community •strategize and supervise all aspects of recruitment and evaluation of prospective student-athletes •provide appropriate leadership in practice and competitive environments •conduct sound fiscal management of program, administer athletic scholarships to student-athletes and participate in fundraising activities supporting the program •ensure a quality student-athlete experience through community engagement, campus involvement and competitive achievement •monitor academic and disciplinary standing of student-athletes; establish positive relationships with support staff •schedule and organize softball camps and clinics •manage and supervise assistant coach •participate in designated conference and NCAA meetings, and represent the softball program at specific college, department, alumni, media and community events.
