The University of Virginia's College at Wise invites applications for an Assistant Sports Information Director. This is a full-time position that will assist the Sports Information Director with the day-to-day operations of the department; prepare press releases and articles; assist with maintaining the department website; and travel with various teams to cover sporting events.
A bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, or a related field is required, as well as an understanding of sports information/media relations. Candidates must have excellent communication skills and have the ability to write press releases.
