Executive, Executive - Associate Athletics Director
Direct intercollegiate athletic programs by providing leadership and overall direction in a manner consistent with the University’s mission. Assist Senior Deputy Athletics Director in managing the Intercollegiate Athletics Department in the absence of the Athletic Director. Reports to Athletic Director.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Duties/essential functions may include, but not be limited to, the following:
Provide leadership to the assigned areas of the intercollegiate athletic programs which may include; facilities and operations, fiscal responsibility, program policies and procedures, events scheduling and operation, development and fundraising activities, academic and student affairs, media relations, personnel development, marketing and promotions, and other appropriate areas.
Assist with the leadership of the department's comprehensive sports administration program.
Assist with the department's strategic plan maintenance and implementation.
Provide leadership for the department's diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging initiatives; Including the creation and maintenance of the department's Diversity Strategic/Action Plan; Serve as the department's NCAA Diversity and Inclusion Designee (ADID).
Serve as department's deputy title IX coordinator and liaison to the University's Title IX office; Lead gender equity reviews and initiatives.
Assist the Athletic Director in establishing overall athletics goals, objectives, and strategies; develop and implement programs and activities to accomplish goals, improve the image of the University, and attract and retain students.
Develop programs within the assigned intercollegiate sports program to ensure student-athletes receive a valuable educational experience.
Assist in thought leadership with program development for the professional development of staff for the athletic department.
Ensure compliance with local, state, federal, and National Collegiate Athletics Association regulations.
Serve on various department, division, and University committees.
Function as the Athletic Director and the Senior Deputy Athletics Director in his/her absence.
Perform related duties as assigned.
Master's degree in Sports Administration, or related field. Three years progressively responsible experience in sports administration/senior level athletics leadership at the Division I level.
