Director of Operations for Cross Country/Track & Field
Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics, a Division 1 and Big Ten Conference Institution, is seeking a Director of Operations for the Cross Country/Track & Field program under the general supervision of the Head Coach. This is a non-coaching position which will coordinate the operational aspects of the Cross Country/Track & Field program including the following:
Assisting with video operations
Overseeing the budget
Coordinating class schedules
Hiring and managing managers
Managing apparel and equipment
Acting as a liaison to the Big Ten Conference and departments within Penn State Athletics including the Office of Compliance
Compiling team related stats
Planning, coordinating, and executing year-long travel plans
Arranging team practice schedule
Coordinating team community service activities
Supervising the operations assistant
Meet Director for our home cross country/track and field events
Organizing all aspects of recruiting visits
Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus one year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Additional years of experience are preferred. Knowledge on hosting cross country/track and field competitions is preferred.
This position requires the following clearances in addition to applicable background checks: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check. This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A valid driver's license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to applicable background checks.
