STATEMENT OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Ticket Sales •Promote event attendance and implement strategies to increase revenue. •Self-identify potential new leads and target provided lists to sell season tickets, premium tickets, single game tickets, and group tickets. •Establish, maintain, and expand client lists. Work with ticket sales team to implement new outreach programs via phone calls and facilitating repeat business. •Renew and retain past group ticket buyers. •Renew and retain past season ticket purchasers. •Manage and service assigned season ticket holder accounts to help meet overall season ticket retention goals. •Aggressively prospect new group ticket sales opportunities. •Cultivate relationships with businesses and organizations to ensure customer satisfaction and future growth of ticket sales. •Meet or exceed sales goals and weekly activity requirements. •Maintain accurate and detailed notes regarding customers and document all touch points with clients in CRM. Support a positive sales culture. •Work collaboratively with other departments within DIA, including but not limited to Marketing, Development, and DIA’s multimedia rights partners. •Engage, interact and correspond with existing and potential I FUND donors and season ticket holders on issues such as seating (including priority seating) and parking allocation and adjustment and other related issues, all with the goal of cultivating premium seating sales and ticket-related gifts. •Assist with retention efforts of donors which may include solicitation of renewals through calls during dedicated times of the year •Ensure that personal sales goals and objectives are met in accordance with all NCAA, Big Ten Conference, and University of Illinois rules and regulations.
Gameday/Event Responsibilities •Work all football and men’s basketball games as well as select volleyball and women’s basketball games. •Work ticketed State Farm Center events as needed. •Serve as DIA contact for groups in attendance to answer questions related to event. Visit with select groups during the game in order to gather feedback. •Visit with select season ticket holders prior to game to thank them for their support and answer any questions and gather feedback related to their game experience. •Work ticket sales booth as necessary.
Community Outreach •Represent the department in a sales capacity at select community/fan events.
Education: Required: Bachelor’s degree in athletic administration or related field required
Experience: Required: At least one year experience of ticket office operations or ticket sales, preferably in an athletic venue.
Preferred: Experience with ticketing software systems preferred Experience with ticket sales
