Glenville State College is seeking a qualified and dedicated candidate for the position of Staff Athletic Trainer. An individual who will be fully invested in the health and success of our student athletes. This position will work with the coaching staff, our administration, and medical health professionals for the prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of the department’s health needs. The individual must possess a strong understanding of athletically-related injuries and treatments. Examples of Duties: Basic responsibilities include; Working with the Athletic Department and the Athletic Training Staff to prepare an orientation for all in-coming student-athletes in the Fall Semester. Establish a working relationship with the coaching staffs, as well as the student=athletes assigned. Designing and executing rehabilitation programs for injured student-athletes. Assisting and monitoring these injured student-athletes as they work to recovery. Maintaining records and possessing a strong working knowledge of the Vivature database. Executing tasks such as maintaining inventory, establishing a culture of cleanliness and sanitization, and ensuring that all necessary needs are stocked. Work with the Head Athletic Trainer to maintain operations within budgetary parameters. Typical Qualifications: Basic requirements include; A Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic Training and a valid state license in the field. An understanding of the challenges and hours necessary for health care in college athletics. Strong interpersonal and problem solving skills.
