Defiance College, an NCAA D-III institution located in Northwest Ohio, seeks qualified applicants for a graduate assistant women’s soccer coaching position. This is a 10-month (August-May) position with a start date of August 2, 2021. The assistantship is a two-year assignment reporting to the Head Coach.
Serve as an assistant coach with every aspect of the program.
Recruiting, to include: identifying and initiating contact with future players, creating relationships with club & high school coaches, etc.
Assist with planning and implementation of training sessions, scouting opponents, video analysis, individual player coaching sessions, equipment, fundraising, academic monitoring, and athlete fitness programs.
Maintain compliance with NCAA, Heartland Collegiate Athletics Conference (HCAC), and Defiance College policies and procedures.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Must have a bachelor’s degree.
Previous soccer playing or coaching experience - goalkeeper experience a plus.
Possess a valid driver’s license and have a clean driving record.
Must be accepted into the Defiance College graduate program in Business (MBA) or Education (MAE). Applicants pursuing a graduate degree in Education must hold a teaching license to be eligible for the MAE program.

Additional Information: The successful candidate will be awarded a full graduate school tuition scholarship covering a maximum of 36 credit hours. Compensation includes a stipend, a housing stipend (or college-provided housing), and a meal plan on campus when meals are served to students during the academic year.
