Western Kentucky University, a member of Conference USA and a Football Bowl Subdivision NCAA member institution, seeks to hire an individual for the position of Coordinator of Ticket Operations for the athletics department. This is a 12-month, full-time position. This position will report directly to the Director of Ticket Operations. Applicants must have a commitment to and responsibility for adhering to all rules and regulations of WKU, Conference USA and the NCAA. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: The following duties are customary for this position, but are not to be construed as all-inclusive. Duties may be added, deleted, and assigned based on management discretion and institutional needs. •Assist in generating methods to increase season, single game, and group ticket sales to all constituents of WKU athletics including database list generation and subsequent communication via outbound calls, direct mail and other activities •Process ticket orders for season tickets and individual game tickets for Football, Volleyball, Men's and Women's Basketball, Baseball, and Softball •Assist in ticket operations for Football and Men’s Basketball •Oversee all ticket operations for Women’s Basketball •Supervise game day and student staff in processing both on site and mail orders which include: accounting and deposit of revenues, distributing tickets for consignment of sales, and filling orders according to established priority systems •Oversee the Ticket Office Graduate Assistant •Work with Director of Marketing on email database and the ticket office brand •Handles all creation of informational material for ticket office •Assist in the operations of our IMGL staff and assist with pulling reports and contact lists •Initiate outreach to surrounding communities, state/region wide •Attend community/social networking events to grow program awareness and generate new leads •Assist the Marketing Department with the planning, coordinating, and implementation of the marketing strategies for ticket sales, special promotions, and sponsorships. •Assist with supervising ticket booths on game day, customer service, fixing issues. •Recommend methods to generate an increase in season, single game, and group ticket sales to all constituents of WKU athletics including database list generation and subsequent communication via outbound calls, direct mail and other activities •Any other duties assigned by the Director of Ticket Operations
Knowledge and Skills Considered Essential for Success: •Some travel and special event work •Excellent oral and written communication skills •Strong attention to detail •Must be self-motivated and team-oriented •Excellent organization, interpersonal, and communication skills •Experience and knowledge with Microsoft excel, word and other applications •Must be willing and able to work evenings and weekends •The duties and responsibilities of this position must be performed in a competent manner following the highest standards for leadership, professionalism, integrity, accountability, responsibility, cooperation and customer service
At least one years of experience in a ticket office or related field
At least one year of experience with Ticketmaster Archtics software or other collegiate athletic ticketing system
Knowledge of NCAA rules relating to Tickets
