Lewis University is seeking a Graduate Assistant for Cross Country and Track. The Graduate Assistant Cross Country Track and Field Coach is responsible for assisting the Head Cross Country Track and Field Coach with coaching the Men’s and Women’s cross country and track programs.
Responsible to model the University Mission through dedicated job performance, service excellence to constituencies, respectful collaboration and active support of the University’s Mission in Catholic and Lasallian higher education.
Other responsibilities include: Structure in-season and out of season practices, Off-season recruiting, Home meet management, Team travel arrangements, Fundraising, Academic progress verification
As an individual employed in a coaching capacity, you are subject to the regulations of the NCAA. If at any time it is determined that you are in violation of such regulations, then by the provision of the NCAA enforcement procedures, you may be subject to corrective disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
*Please note, the graduate assistant tuition benefit does not apply to the MS, Occupational Therapy or Speech Language Pathology programs.
Bachelor’s degree. Must be enrolled and maintain satisfactory progress in a graduate program at Lewis University. Successful coaching experience of both men and women’s track. Must have the ability to recruit quality student athletes. The person in this position should have experience in coaching and competing at the intercollegiate level with expertise in the area of springs and hurdles.
