Knox seeks an outgoing, results-oriented individual to join the admission team as an Admission Counselor or Assistant Director of Admission. You’ll work within a recruitment territory—in the U.S. and/or internationally—to achieve a high level of visibility for the College; identify and recruit well-matched candidates for admission; build relationships with high school counselors, educational consultants, and alumni; and assist students and their parents in applying for admission and financial aid. This is a full-time, benefits-eligible position.
Engage with prospective students and their parents via phone, text, email, video, and in-person to achieve a high level of interaction and build sustained relationships through the college search.
Assist students in assessing match/fit and how Knox could help to achieve their educational goals.
Work with families to understand college costs, affordability, and how to apply for scholarships and financial aid.
Build relationships with high school counselors and educational consultants
Make in-person and virtual presentations about Knox, conduct interviews, represent Knox at college fairs, high school information sessions, and other events.
Review applications for admission.
Recruitment travel up to 10-12 weeks per year; work evenings and weekends as needed for events and to engage with students and parents.
Education and Experience:
Professionals with 3-5 years of experience will be considered for the title of Assistant Director.
Valid driver’s license
Ability to travel up to 10-12 weeks per year
Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and public speaking abilities; and talent for developing relationships with a variety of constituencies
Experience with and passion for creating virtual engagement, social media, video, digital communications, and online events
Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to adapt to a changing work environment
Previous experience in college admission, direct sales and marketing, or digital communications
