University of Arkansas at Monticello Athletic Department Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance
The University of Arkansas at Monticello (www.uamont.edu) is seeking applicants for the position of Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance.
Responsibilities: The Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance will oversee all day-to-day operations involving compliance, including but not limited to, maintaining institution control in all aspects of the NCAA, Great American Conference and UAM rules; working with all sports regarding compliance related issues, which include recruiting, amateurism, eligibility, financial aid, awards/benefits and playing/practice seasons; assisting with issuing NCAA and Great American Conference interpretations and creation of educational materials; assisting student-athletes and coaches with academic requirement assistances; and assisting institutional academic advisors in the area of academic advising student-athletes to ensure they are meeting NCAA progress towards degree requirements.
Qualifications: Baccalaureate degree is required; master’s degree in Business Administration or related field is preferred. A competitive background of playing or coaching athletics is preferred. The ability to work, communicate, and develop rapport with students, faculty, administration, alumni, community groups, and media is required.
