Frostburg State University Athletics Department is accepting applications for a contractual full-time Student Athlete Development & Success Staff position available for fall 2021. Hourly rate $11.75 and includes a limited benefits package (see below).
FSU boasts 22 varsity sports (10 men/12 women) at the NCAA Division II level that compete in the Mountain East Conference and the East Coast Conference.
Responsibilities: Assist the Assistant Director of Athletics for Student Development & Success in the coordination of programs relating to the student-athlete experience. Perform student support duties for retention and academic success, leadership and professional development, and SAAC. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to meeting with student-athletes, communicating with coaches and advisors, and coordinating and promoting student-athlete events. Supervise Study Tables and connect students to campus resources. Develop and facilitate workshops and programs. Perform other administrative duties as assigned by the Assistant Director of Athletics for Student Development and Success.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree and one year of related work experience. Ability to innovate, stay organized, and interact with college students in a professional manner.
Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree and/or two years of related work experience. Advanced advising skills.
Additional Salary Information: The following benefits will be available on an annual basis: * University System of Maryland Tuition Remission program; * Five (5) days of annual leave; * Some Holidays; * Three (3) days of sick leave; * May participate in the State Health Insurance programs (medical, prescription and/or dental, etc.) that are available to State employees. Staff working 30 hours or more per week are eligible for the applicable state subsidy for medical and prescription coverage; all other selections are at full cost. If enrolled, premiums must be made directly to the State of Maryland.
