SIUE is seeking three Assistant Women's Basketball Coaches. The three positions are separated by qualifications as noted below.
The Assistant Women's Basketball Coaches report to the Head Coach and Director of Athletics and must subscribe to the SIUE Principles Governing Athletics. Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
Supporting the goals and objectives of the athletic program
Assisting the Head Coach with organization of practices, recruitment, team travel, fund raising, and any other area of responsibility as directed by the Head Coach or Director of Athletics
Complying with University, Conference, and NCAA Division I rules and regulations
Working cooperatively and responsibly with other departmental personnel
Supporting the student-athlete concept and demonstrating concern for the health, safety, and welfare of each student-athlete
Additional duties as assigned
1st Assistant Qualifications (11849):
-Bachelor's degree required. -Evidence of sound organizational and communication skills. -Ability to interact effectively with student-athletes, colleagues, and the public. -Four (4) years of collegiate playing experience, or combination of professional and collegiate playing experience totaling 4 years. -Four (4) years of collegiate coaching experience with at least two (2) years full-time coaching experience in Division I. -Off-campus recruiting experience at the Division I level. -Master's Degree preferred.
2nd and 3rd Assistant Qualifications (11848):
-Bachelor's degree required. -Evidence of sound organizational and communication skills. -Ability to interact effectively with student-athletes, colleagues, and the public. -Four (4) years of collegiate playing experience, or combination of professional and collegiate playing experience totaling 4 years. -Two (2) years of collegiate coaching experience, or combination of coaching and basketball operations experience at the collegiate level. -Division I coaching experience is preferred.
Final candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. and not require sponsorship.
