What We're Looking For Baylor University is seeking a Coordinator of Spirit and Traditions to assist with the development of spirit and traditions programming while serving as the primary liaison from the Department of Student Activities to the Baylor Athletic Department. Additionally, the position will serve the Division of Student Life by connecting the Departments within the Division to the various opportunities for engagement in the spirit and traditions of the University and will assist with the implementation of major university traditions coordinated through the Department of Student Activities.
The Department of Student Activities is looking for someone with long term vision and commitment to take this position to the next level. Baylor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to fill this position at the Senior Coordinator level depending upon the selected candidates experience and education.
A Bachelor's Degree, three years of relevant experience, and an active Christian faith are required. A Master's Degree and five years of relevant work experience are preferred.

What You Will Do •Lead in the various aspects of spirit and traditions programs throughout the Division of Student Life including pep rallies (ex. Spirit Rally), specialty programs (ex. Student Org of Game), and other opportunities for engagement (ex. post season or away game travel/ ticket sales) •Manage all facets of the Student Organization Tailgating area including staff, facilities, rentals, and student organization registration •Supervise spirit and traditions related organizations which may include, but not limited to, The Bear Pit, The Bullpen, The Set, and other designated spirit organizations •Serve a secondary role in advising and maintaining the Baylor live mascot program including USDA Class C zoological requirements, student training, habitant maintenance, training facility maintenance, and veterinary care for two North American Black Bear •Serve as primary liaison for spirit and traditions programs for the new student transition programs including, but not limited to, Summer Orientation, Baylor Line Camp, and Welcome Week •Support the Associate Director in the implementation of major traditional programs including Baylor Line, Homecoming, Family Weekend, Diadeloso, and Traditions Rally •Edit, revise, and publish the annual Traditions Booklet for the campus community
