Head Coach- Golf

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Reporting to the director of athletics, the head coach will provide vision, leadership, and oversight for all aspects of the golf program, to include coaching; coordinating training; supporting student-athletes; recruiting; and working within NCAA, Conference, and Alverno College guidelines. The head coach will be called upon to supervise and coordinate the work of any assistant coaches, as well as play a major role in fundraising activities for the program. The incumbent will demonstrate a strong commitment to the academic achievement of student-athletes by monitoring and actively encouraging participants to succeed academically and represent the College with the utmost integrity. This individual will evaluate talent, contact prospects, and recruit new student-athletes to Alverno College by working with Admissions. Attend all Conference and Departmental meetings. Maintain a positive relationship with student-athletes, staff, faculty, volunteers, and fans. Maintain positive professional relationships with other colleges, professional peers and organizations to remain current in trends particular to sport and further develop areas of responsibility.
