Founded in 1887, Alverno College is a four-year, Catholic liberal arts college for undergraduate women sponsored by the School Sisters of St. Francis. The college also offers a robust array of graduate and degree completion programs for women and men. It is an institution that has revered tradition and encouraged innovation for more than 130 years. Primary Duties and Responsibilities The following information is not meant to be all-inclusive. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned as necessary. Reporting to the director of athletics, the head coach will provide vision, leadership, and oversight for all aspects of the golf program, to include coaching; coordinating training; supporting student-athletes; recruiting; and working within NCAA, Conference, and Alverno College guidelines. The head coach will be called upon to supervise and coordinate the work of any assistant coaches, as well as play a major role in fundraising activities for the program. The incumbent will demonstrate a strong commitment to the academic achievement of student-athletes by monitoring and actively encouraging participants to succeed academically and represent the College with the utmost integrity. This individual will evaluate talent, contact prospects, and recruit new student-athletes to Alverno College by working with Admissions. Attend all Conference and Departmental meetings. Maintain a positive relationship with student-athletes, staff, faculty, volunteers, and fans. Maintain positive professional relationships with other colleges, professional peers and organizations to remain current in trends particular to sport and further develop areas of responsibility.
