Job Summary: Will serve as Head Women’s Soccer Coach. Will assist the Athletic Director with all phases of student engagement. Responsible for coordination of athletics community service projects, intramural programs, and engaging general students attendance at events as well as other duties as assigned by Athletic Director over the academic year. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (additional related duties may be assigned): 1.Coordination and implementation of Intramural Sports Program. 2.Coordination of all public relations, fund raising, marketing, and community involvement projects. 3.Lead the development of and serve as advisor to the SAAC 4.Plan and Implement ways to engage with students to attend home events. 5.Assist in the selection, hiring, and supervision of personnel within the athletic program. 6.Assist in all game day management and supervision when not coaching. 7.Oversee the coordination, preparation, distribution, recording and filing of all intercollegiate sports contracts. 8.When asked, attend any professional organizations meetings assigned by the Athletic Director. 9.Fitness Lab Coverage 5 hours per week. 10.Using tact and courtesy, the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with persons contacted in the course of work. 11.Help coordinate ongoing development and maintenance of the RVC Athletics Student-Athlete Outcomes and Objectives. 12.Support the Booster Club by attending meetings, participating in fund raising activities and membership drives. 13.Participate in committee activities assigned by the Athletic Director. 14.Maintain positive communication with all members of the athletic department, RVC faculty and staff, and news media. 15.Attend all mandatory department meetings—regular attendance is expected. ? Head Coach Essential Duties 1.Support the academic initiatives and philosophies of RVC, the athletic department, including: a.Mandatory Study Hall Hours b.Academic Progress Reports c.Mandatory Advising d.Student-athlete Academic Credit Requirements e.Coordinate struggling student-athletes with tutor, writing center and other campus resources for assistance. 2.Coordinate all camps, clinics and Women’s Soccer events on an annual basis. 3.Coordinate all submission of eligibility sheets for Women’s Soccer with the NJCAA. 4.Coordinate all transfer activities of Women’s Soccer student athletes. 5.Coordinate the purchasing, maintenance and inventory of athletic equipment for Women’s Soccer Program. 6.Coordinate scheduling and management of team contests, official practices, travel arrangements and facilities utilization for Women’s Soccer program. 7.Evaluate assistant coaching staff as assigned for Women’s Soccer program. 8.Coordinate, track and implement a recruitment plan to meet the initiatives of the RVC Athletic Department. 9.Organize and run practice sessions and coach games and contests. 10.Supervision of student-athletes during practice, contests, and travel. 11.Distribute and enforce adherence to the RVC and NJCAA Student Athlete Code of Conduct. 12.Comply with all N4C and NJCAA rules. 13.Report all results on RVC Athletics website and social media. 14.Complete and submit injury report forms to Head Athletic Trainer. 15.Prepare and submit a season summary to the Athletic Director which contains the following: a.Names of individuals receiving awards b.Complete list of contest results c.List of special award winners d.MVP records of the sport e.Conference and NJCAA standings f.Season statistics g.Academic Data h.Other pertinent data as needed Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities 1.Must possess the ability to keep information confidential. 2.Ability to effectively communicate to both players, support staff and supervisors. 3.Ability to perform complex clerical tasks. 4.Ability to navigate through Microsoft platforms using analytical data pertinent to Department and Sport requirements. 5.Knowledge of business and human resource management practices. 6.Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures. 7.Capable of using independent judgment to solve problems and complex situations. 8.Exceptional interpersonal skills are required. 9.Effective oral and written communications skills. 10.Ability to work with a diverse population. 11.Responsibility to maintain Social Media platforms according to all institutional and department guidelines. 12.Ability to integrate, evaluate and actively recruit within and outside of the greater-Rockford community. 13.Must possess knowledge on the game of soccer that allows an ability to design and execute practices for player and team development continuously. The candidate shall possess a minimum of 3 year of coaching experience. The candidate must possess strong organizational skills. The candidate must be able to work independently and have the ability to take on many different projects at one time. The candidate must be supportive of the initiation and ongoing development of the colleges’ Athletic Strategic Plan. The candidate must have strong interpersonal and human relations skills.
