The Ohio State University Department of Athletics is seeking an Athletic Trainer Intern - Football. This position has an appointment term of 12 months beginning June 1, 2021 and ending May 31, 2022. The Intern will work 40+ hours per week. May work nights and weekends based on the schedule of OSU athletic events. Position has responsibilities assigned specifically to Football. The Athletic Trainer Intern will work closely with full-time staff to provide comprehensive medical care. They will also assist with coordination and direction of students in ATEP. This is an entry level, career based internship and is intended for professional development of an applicant with only 6 to 24 months practical experience. This position is focused on furthering knowledge and skills in the field of Athletic Training. Internship positions are appointed on an annual basis. These positions work in a creative and collaborative team environment where change is embraced and innovation is encouraged.

A Bachelor’s degree is required. Preferred candidates will have at least one year football experience (student and/or Intern year acceptable) and independent travel experience. Preferred candidates will have successful completion of BOC Certification Examination; have or be able to obtain a License to practice Athletic Training in the State of Ohio.
