Specific Responsibilities and Duties: Under the direction of the facility Director, the Technical Services Manager is responsible for the technical systems and operations at the Bren Events Center and Intercollegiate Athletics complex. Responsibilities will include overseeing all technical operations for day-to-day use and event support including Audio, Visual, Lighting, and Rigging within the Arena and Room areas of Bren Events Center and Athletic Complex (Crawford Court, Crawford Field, Anteater Stadium, Anteater Ballpark, and Aquatics Complex). Incumbent will develop, implement and manage event technical strategies, details, and recommendations for department and clients as assigned. Will manage recruitment, hiring, training, and supervision of student and support staff for all technical operations which may include, but not limited to technicians for Audio, Lighting, Video, Spotlight operators, and camera operators. Will provide comprehensive coordination and management oversight of moderately complex and/or medium-size events. May assist with event management duties for events with heavy technical elements in the Bren Events Center or areas within athletic complex as assigned by facility Director and/or Senior Associate Athletic Director. Occasionally, will handle Event Management responsibilities as assigned with supervision of technical and operational staff (in-house and contracted employees). This position will also be responsible for assisting with facility evacuation procedures and may be assigned to be a part of the campus emergency management zone crew.
