Assistant Athletics Director - Ticket Sales

Position Description
Assists in providing leadership and direction for an assigned area within the athletic department. Responsible for the development, coordination, and administration of the department. Responsible for employees in the assigned area.

Major/Essential Functions
  • Oversee the day-to-day operation of the ticket sales unit
  • Working with the Associate AD for Ticket Services, develop sales goals and objectives for ticket sales staff
  • Consistently and Pro-Actively provide feedback, guidance, and training to help the ticket sales staff grow and improve
  • Seek out new sales methods and ideas to help in the evolution and development of the ticket sales unit
  • Execute ticket sales strategies for group and season ticket sales utilizing ticket sales data and analytics
  • Reach set sales goals for season, mini-plan, single, and group ticket sales
  • Actively work with, provide feedback, and promote a positive relationship with the ticket operations, marketing, and development units
  • Work to build and maintain relationships with businesses, fans, and donors
  • Provide a high level of customer service to fans and donors
  • Other duties as assigned


Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. Three (3) years experience in an intercollegiate athletics department or other work experience that would demonstrate the necessary background and knowledge. Must have a working knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.

Preferred Qualifications
  • 4+ years of experience in a collegiate or professional sales setting or a related field with proven successful experience in achieving sales plan goals
  • Experience with: Paciolan, Salesforce CRM, and Microsoft Office applications
  • Possess a strong work ethic, leadership ability, and excellent organizational and communication skill
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships
  • Demonstrated ability to respond quickly and exhibit good judgement in an ever-changing and fast-paced environment
