Sport Administrator
Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA)
| ABOUT THE POSITION Reporting to the Director of Officiating and Sport Management, the Sport Administrator is responsible for communicating and enforcing OHSAA Sport Regulations and Bylaws and NFHS Playing Rules with member schools, educating and assisting school compliance with OHSAA regulations, coordinating the post-season tournaments in assigned sports and serving as the liaison to the governing body in assigned sports. Position requires occasional weekend and evening hours and in-state travel.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Cultivate the values of the Association; oversee the OHSAA-sanctioned sports as assigned; draft and enforce sport rules and regulations; develop educational materials for coaches and stakeholders; administer regional and state tournaments; manage budgets for designed sports; serve as a liaison to coaches, coaches associations, officials, school administrators and community organizations; attend designated sport association events, clinics and award ceremonies; make presentations as requested; further the priorities in the recently adopted strategic plan and implement new processes and approaches to achieve them.
QUALIFICATIONS Candidates must possess a love for the game and a passion for academic-based athletics. The ideal candidate will have prior experience managing events, working with budgets, and providing a high level of customer service. Prior exposure to OHSAA athletic rules and regulations preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, comfort with public speaking, excellent time management and organizational skills required. Bachelor’s degree and valid driver’s license required. EMPLOYMENT BENEFITS Salary is commensurate with education, experience and non-profit standards. The anticipated full-time starting salary will be in the $50's.
