The Associate Athletics Director for Compliance leads the athletics compliance function and directs and coordinates the institution’s efforts to comply with and monitor all NCAA and Council of Ivy Group Presidents rules and regulations. Responsibilities; -Monitor National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), Council of Ivy Group Presidents and Columbia University rules and regulations. -Manage the athletics compliance office to achieve the mission and goals of the athletic department. Provide oversight to the Assistant Athletics Director of Compliance. -Evaluate, develop, and administer all systems necessary to maintain institutional control of the athletics program Oversee the record keeping of all student-athlete files and ensure records are accurate on the University systems (e.g., Student Information System (SIS), ARMS, etc.) -Ensure that appropriate systems are in place and functioning for rules education, monitoring and enforcement for internal and external constituencies -Serve as the primary liaison to the NCAA and Council of Ivy Group Presidents for compliance issues. -Support a strong culture of institutional control by maintaining effective lines of communication throughout the athletics department and the University. -Responsible for coordinating institutional positions on Council of Ivy Group Presidents and NCAA legislation. -Utilization of technology to monitor compliance programs (e.g., ARMS, RSRO, LSDBi, Eligibility Center, Transfer Portal, Academic Portal, etc.) -Prepare and submit NCAA, Council of Ivy Group Presidents and institutional reports. -Collaborate with the University Registrar on the reporting of Graduation Rates, Academic Progress Program (APP) and eligibility certification of student-athletes. -Investigate and report all NCAA and Council of Ivy Group Presidents rules violations. -Coordinate and implement all aspects of NCAA, Council of Ivy Group Presidents and institutional eligibility requirements for practice and competition. -Serve on the University Compliance Committee. -Additional duties as assigned by the Director of Intercollegiate Athletics and Physical Education. -Contribute to the maintenance of good working relationships with Department staff members. -Promote the success of minority equity initiatives by engaging in related activities and programs. -Exhibit the highest professional standards and ethical behavior with adherence to NCAA, Council of Ivy League Presidents, University, and the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics and Physical Education rules and regulations.

Four-Six (4-6) years of related experience in intercollegiate athletics administration, with related experience in NCAA rules compliance, education and systems monitoring. |
