This position provides coaching assistance to the Head Coach during training and competitions for the University of Oregon’s football program. The Assistant Coach is responsible for promoting the philosophy and objectives of the intercollegiate athletics program, including adherence to all department policies and procedures, as well as the rules and regulations of the university, the Pac-12 Conference, and the NCAA.
The successful candidate will have the ability to work effectively with faculty, staff, and students from a variety of diverse backgrounds.
Minimum Requirements • Bachelor’s Degree • Five years of combined Division I football playing/coaching experience
Professional Competencies • Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations
Preferred Qualifications • Power 5 Football Conference or NFL coaching experience • Division 1 football defensive coaching experience • Recruiting experience • Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations • The successful candidate will have the ability to work effectively with faculty, staff, and students from a variety of diverse backgrounds • Master’s degree
