General Objectives: The Director of Athletic Facilities is to schedule all treatments and maintenance of athletic fields, practice golf green, and athletic facilities. The goal and objective of DBU Athletics is to develop Champions for Christ, both on and off the playing surface. Responsibilities: •Perform job duties in accordance with DBU’s vision, mission and values, and in a way that contributes to the development of the Athletics Department. •Schedule all treatments, maintenance, watering of athletic fields and courts. •Maintain on-campus outdoor golf green practice facility. •Game day and special events field preparation. •Administer all responsibilities in accordance with all applicable NCAA rules and guidelines. •Be active in all department-wide fund raising and related professional activities. •Be supportive of all athletic teams and other athletic department personnel. •Hold membership in appropriate national associations and be active in related professional activities. •Practice superior customer service. •Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned.

Bachelor’s degree from accredited institution. Master’s degree preferred. 3-5 years of sports turf maintenance experience. Must have or be able to obtain a Texas Pesticide Applicator's License within 6 months of employment. Knowledge of mechanics and equipment preventative maintenance required. |
