K-State Athletics is seeking qualified applicants for EVENT COORDINATOR, which is a full-time, salaried, benefits-eligible position. An example of job duties includes but are not limited to: •Must use independent judgment and discretion to oversee the day-to-day and game day management of assigned athletics events to include, but is not limited to, pre-event planning and coordination of department personnel and outside vendors and services, setup and breakdown of facilities, compliance with ADA policies and procedures, coordination of officials and visiting teams, crowd control management, game management, establishing relationships and procedures with law enforcement, EMS and other emergency personnel, and implement venue policy and procedures. Serve as site manager for assigned Big 12 Conference Championships and NCAA postseason competitions hosted by K-State Athletics. Ensures excellent customer service. Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed. Must have a valid driver's license at all times. •Organize, direct, coordinate, evaluate and schedule a large number of part-time workers for athletic events; coordinate with other supervisory staff to ensure adequate workers are scheduled and available to work each assigned athletic event in multiple facilities; and interview, hire, train and oversee a large number of part-time event workers. Lead coordinator for special events as assigned. •Develop and maintain event profiles, manuals and/or information packets.
