POSITION DESCRIPTION Under the direction of the Head Athletic Trainer, the Assistant Athletic Trainer is responsible for providing athletic training services for Russell Sage College intercollegiate athletic training program. Russell Sage College is an NCAA Division III institution that provides 21 athletic programs located in Albany, New York. This is a 9-month, full-time position beginning in February 2021. Annual appointment will be August 15 – May 15.
Expected start date: February 1, 2021
Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training or other related discipline accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE).
Certified by the BOC (Board of Certification for Athletic Trainers). Eligible for New York State Athletic Training Licensure.
CPR/First Aid Certification at the Basic Life Support/Professional Rescuer level or beyond.
Ability to function independently, display strong attention to detail, work under pressure, meet deadlines and prioritize multiple projects.
Ability to work a varied schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
Must meet physical demands of position listed below.
Master’s degree in Athletic Training or related field
Previous experience working in the collegiate athletic training setting.
