Camp Winaukee is a residential boys’ sports camp on Lake Winnipesaukee in Moultonborough, New Hampshire. Winaukee runs for 7 weeks for boys aged 7-15. We are looking for watersports & lifeguard camp counselors for our upcoming 2021 summer. No previous lifeguard experience is necessary but strong swimming is preferred.
Watersports activities include: water ski, wakeboard, canoe, kayak, paddle board, sailing, inflatable aqua park, and lifeguarding for all activities.
Winaukee’s purpose is to cultivate a wide scope of experiences and formed relationships based around sports and in a traditional camp environment. Our goal is to develop the growth in our campers in a safe, fun environment built in a community of brotherhood.
Primary Responsibilities:
•A typical day may include waking up with the campers, lifeguarding (teaching swim, kayaking fishing paddle boarding, boat driving) leading a campfire at night and participating in camp traditions – no two days are the same!
•Enhance the skill level of every camper while promoting a fun and exciting program. You will do this during activities, electives, and one on one instruction.
•Live in a cabin with campers and act as their guardian and primary supervisor to ensure camper safety and well-being at all times.
•You will be charged with helping campers make friends, navigate homesickness and conflict, provide guidance and leadership and act as a role model.
A watersports counselor is a rewarding, but challenging job. It requires planning, patience, coaching ability, confidence and skills that will last you a lifetime. At Camp Winaukee you will have the opportunity to work at the Waterfront surrounded by like-minded individuals who want to make a difference in the lives of children. |
