Springfield College seeks applications for a Program-Track Position in Strength and Conditioning within the Department of Exercise Science and Athletic Training. This is a full-time, nine-month, program-track appointment within the School of Physical Education, Performance, and Sport Leadership beginning August 2021. Expertise in the field, demonstrated excellence in teaching, and a commitment to scholarly and service activities are expected. Preference will be given to candidates who can bring diverse perspectives to this growing department and who are motivated to help students succeed.
Interested candidates for this position will have an earned Master's degree (Doctorate degree Preferred) from a regional accredited institution in Exercise Science or related discipline. Applicants who are ABD for the terminal degree may be considered depending on expected completion date.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to deliver coursework in undergraduate and graduate Strength and Conditioning coursework.
In addition, the candidate will possess strong management and organizational skills to supervise graduate associates and graduate assistants and liaison between academics and athletics.
Strong technology skills, CPR/AED, CSCS, FMS, SFMA, ability to collaborate and work in a team environment are preferred.
Additional responsibilities include internship and student research supervision, academic advising, and scholarly and service related activities.
