To perform a multitude of business functions including recording, reporting and analyzing financial data sets while identifying business process improvements for the financial leadership within Texas Athletics.
This position may work non-traditional hours during peak seasons.
Manage the procurement and payment operations for the Frank Erwin Center, including the further implementation of strategic sourcing and procure to pay solutions. Perform accounting and related assignments involving the recording, examination, analysis, and reporting of financial data in a large business area, including complex reconciliations and the issuance of timely financial statements. Identify, design, and implement standardized workflows to minimize the latency of financial transactions and improve end-user decision making processes Integrate multiple Erwin Center and Athletics data sources to improve financial reporting functionality in support of the analysis and projection of the venue’s financial performance Responsible for exercising sound, independent judgment and thought in the financial settlement process for Erwin Center events, in addition to month-end and year-end close. Actively research best practice and alternative solutions to current business office applications. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field or related experience. Some knowledge of the operation, uses and capabilities of data processing equipment. Proficiency in the MS Office Suite (Particularly MS Excel). Ability to act as a problem-solver. Strong team player and communicator. Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Participation or prior work experience in intercollegiate athletics or large concert venues. Two years of Account and Financial Experience. Experience working in other systems (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Cognos, Paciolan, Concur).
