Under the general supervision of the Senior Associate Athletic Director for Compliance, this position is responsible for assisting with the development and implementation of a comprehensive NCAA Division I-FBS athletics compliance program. Under the NCAA mandate of institutional control, each member institution must ensure its intercollegiate athletics program is in compliance with the rules and regulations of the association. This position reports to the Senior Associate Athletic Director for Compliance. Under the mandates of University control, this unit reports directly to the University President.
Required Job Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in communications, sports management, psychology, liberal arts or other field related to duties and responsibilities;
Minimum of one year of experience in NCAA compliance required, preferably at the institutional level;
Comprehensive knowledge of NCAA rules, regulations, processes, interpretations, appeals and governance structure;
Knowledge of NCAA technological processes such as CA, LSDBi and RSRO required;
Proven ability to relate well to coaches, student-athletes and other compliance constituency groups;
Excellent oral and written communication skills and organizational abilities with attention to detail;
The successful candidate must be legally authorized to work in the United States by the time of hire. The department will not provide visa sponsorship for this position.
Preferred Job Qualifications
NCAA Division I-FBS experience;
Master’s or Law Degree.
