Assistant Football Coach - Offensive Line/Run Game Coordinator
Job Purpose Towson University, a Division I member of the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA), is accepting applications for an Assistant Football Coach for Offensive Line/Run Game Coordinator. This position will provide assistance in the areas of student-athlete recruitment, development of game plan, practice and game coaching, skills instruction, and academic monitoring.
Description Organize, conduct, and supervise all aspects of the position of offensive line/run game coordinator for the football program to include skill instruction, practices, competition preparation, competition-day coaching, and participation within designated conference and NCAA meetings; recruit and evaluate prospective student-athletes and organize official visits including assigning hosts, creating travel itineraries, and managing all budgetary elements of visits while adhering to all NCAA regulations; assist with academic support, fundraising activities, community service, including communication and outreach to Alumni; adhere to NCAA rules, complete recruiting logs and other end-of-year summaries and correspondence in coordination with the Compliance Office; and perform other duties as assigned by the Head Football Coach.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree and two years of coaching experience, including as a graduate assistant, at the camp/clinic, high school, collegiate, or professional level. The selected candidate must have the ability to: train and recruit at the Division I collegiate level; accept and carry out assigned program and responsibilities; communicate effectively and work well with students, parents, faculty, staff, alumni, and the community; pass the NCAA recruiting test and have a thorough understanding of NCAA rules and regulations; and work collaboratively within the structure and framework of an Athletics Department and University. In addition, the candidate must show a demonstrated commitment to: high academic standards for student-athletes and their ability to succeed both academically and athletically; and building a positive team culture and the personal and professional development of student-athletes. Experience coaching at a collegiate level and previously passing the NCAA recruiting test are strongly preferred.
