Assistant Soccer Coach Summary: Serves as the primary assistant coach for the Men’s and Women’s Soccer program at Trinidad State. Will implement game and practice plans put in place by the head coach, sometimes taking over primary coaching duties if the situation arises. Assist the head Soccer coach in all aspects of coaching, which include teaching the game, assisting in daily practices with drills, technique, and conditioning, recruiting, planning and assisting in game day management. This position is responsible for the supervision of players during road trips. The position will comply with both NJCAA and Trinidad State Junior College rules and regulations. Includes other duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary by the Head Soccer Coach or the Athletic Director.

Assistant Men’s and Women’s Soccer Coach Responsibilities: •Assist the Head Soccer Coach in the overall administration of the Men’s and Women’s Soccer program. •Recruit quality prospective student-athletes who are able to succeed both academically and athletically. •Encourage academic achievement and provide academic assistance to student-athletes as necessary. •Monitor academic progress of team members. •Monitor study hall sessions •Promote youth and college identification Soccer camps during Spring and Summer months. •Assist Head Soccer Coach in planning and conducting positive training sessions. •Plan and Conduct positive goalkeeper training sessions. •Assist Head Soccer Coach during travel to away contests. •Scout opponents. •Assist Head Soccer Coach in planning and conducting off-season conditioning program. •Supervise work study positions •Other duties as assigned.
One to three (1-3) years' coaching
College playing experience or familiarity working with student-athletes.
