LONG BEACH STATE ATHLETICS invites applications for an Assistant Director of Facilities, Operations and Event Management. This position is responsible for coordinating and managing activities, capital improvements, maintenance and athletic events for all athletic facilities including the Walter Pyramid and Blair Field, and administers game/event day operations for intercollegiate games, campus user events and rental events. Analyze and develops vendor relationships and provide fiscal review for all vendor proposals and selection through procurement process. Plans and directs all tournaments and post-season championships as outlined by the Big West Conference, the Golden Coast Conference, Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF), and the NCAA. Salary: $46,764 per year. This is a full-time temporary position. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Working knowledge and experience with events and/or facility operations. Previous supervisory experience. Knowledgeable in EMS or equivalent software. Ability to develop, analyze, and implement policies and procedures related to facilities operations. Ability to plan, organize, coordinate, and perform work in various situations where numerous and diverse demands are involved under the direction of the General Manager. Ability to train others on new skills and procedures and provide work direction. Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
