The Associate Athletic Trainer will work under the medical supervision of the head team physician and is responsible for the day-to-day athletic training services for Football, to include prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of student-athletes; pre-participation physicals; inventory management of supplies and equipment; maintaining medical records; completing required insurance claims; daily interaction and communication with coaching staff, athletic trainers, and administration; attending team practices and events; supervising assistant athletic trainers and students; and injury prevention programming. Education (include licenses, certification, etc.): Bachelor’s degree from an accredited athletic training educational program degree or related field. Current National Board of Certification (BOC) for Athletic Trainers, CPR and AED Certification for healthcare workers by an accredited organization, current or eligible State of Maryland Athletic Trainer Licensure. Possess a valid driver’s license. Experience: Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Strong communication, organizational, administrative, and teamwork skills. Experience providing health care services for college or professional athletes. Ability to work a flexible work schedule to include some evenings, weekends and holidays. Master’s degree from an accredited athletic training educational program degree or related field preferred. Preference working Division I FBS or NFL Football; NHL or NCAA Ice Hockey; or NCAA Lacrosse. |
