Reporting to the Director of Athletics, the Head Women’s Soccer Coach at Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota leads a competitive NCAA Division III women’s soccer program that aligns with the University mission, fosters academic success, and provides service-learning opportunities for student athletes. The ideal candidate adheres to the NCAA Division III philosophy, possesses outstanding communication skills, exhibits dynamic leadership and motivational abilities, strives for excellence in on-field teaching and player development, has highly effective recruiting skills, and thrives in a collaborative team environment. Specific responsibilities are to: Work within the University mission to provide a competitive, unique, and memorable collegiate athletic experience for student-athletes Instruct student-athletes in individual and team skills Recruit academically and athletically qualified student-athletes within the scope of MIAC, NCAA, and university guidelines Monitor team and individual academic success and degree completion. Maintain a program compliant with NCAA, MIAC, and University rules and guidelines. Build, develop, and maintain contacts and relations with athletic alumni and benefactors. Partner with the Development office to raise funds for the program in conjunction with university, department, MIAC, NCAA guidelines. Oversee all necessary administrative responsibilities for the program. Manage the program budget. Coordinate and supervise assistant coaches. Perform secondary duties as assigned by the Athletic Director.
