The coordinator for sports information serves as the primary media contact for various NCAA athletics teams at Lindenwood University.
• Provides athletic results and statistical data to local, regional, and national media
• Assists with game-day program for their respective sports
• Helps maintain the athletics website
• Works with the NCAA and various conferences in providing requested information
Required Qualifications – Required qualifications to effectively perform the job. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered. (Additional requirements may be designated by position.)
Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, sports management, business, or other related field required
Previous experience in a collegiate sports information department or professional athletic environment required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities – May be representative, but not all-inclusive, of those knowledge, skills and abilities commonly associated with this position.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures
Knowledge of and experience working with social media applications, basic video production, Adobe InDesign and Photoshop, StatCrew statistical software, and website software
Ability to multi-task various assignments and work under deadline pressure
