The University of Southern Indiana is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Head Athletic Trainer. The position is responsible for the entire athletic training program including, but not limited to, the following: injury prevention, rehabilitation of injuries, evaluation and treatment of injuries, practice and event coverage, drug testing, and coordination and processing of medical insurance claims. The University of Southern Indiana sponsors 17 sports and services approximately 300 student-athletes.
Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in health/exercise science, sports medicine, kinesiology, anatomy or related field required. Master’s degree preferred. • Current NATA Athletic Trainer, first aid, and CPR certifications required. • Must be licensed in the state of Indiana. • Good organizational skills with excellent oral and written communication skills. • Outstanding management and supervisory skills. • Computer experience preferred.
